For ICRC we will focus on what we already have: high-energy comparison, QGSJetII, Sibyll2.3d, EPOS-LHC (new!) between C8, C7, CONEX, MCEq, AIRES. These are updates wrt. to last ICRC.
A next step (in parallel, as possible) is to extend to low energies: UrQMD (different versions), Hillas Splitting, FLUKA (different versions), DPMJet (down to 5GeV, the resonance region below this is ~broken), SMASH, maybe G4. This was never done systematically. Also: impact on air showers.
Need update/project like CRRIVET.
FLUKA is now fluka.cern (there are now two flavours of FLUKA. One developed at CERN quite openly, one at INFN closed).
muon, pion, kaon spectra in EAS, differences, hadron mapping, strange baryon projectiles, other bugs.
C7, C8, Aires, CONEX, MCEq EAS spectra.
We could summarize the result of the comparisons between the different air-shower codes. It's a classic type of ICRC proceedings and would be a good documentation for this progress before it disappears.
